THIS IS BAMA

RESPONSIBLE GREEN GROWTH

Every step of the way throughout our entire operations we are committed to creating responsible green growth by using renewable resources, becoming part of the circular economy and offering good, safe products. For us, sustainability is the natural way to live our life and lead our business into the future.

We work with sustainability across a broad spectrum. We recognise, however, that we cannot do everything – and that we certainly cannot do so all at once. To accomplish real impact we have therefore identified four specific focus areas for 2021: reduced food waste, renewable resources, eco-friendly packaging and ethical raw ingredient production.

REDUCED
FOOD WASTE

RENEWABLE
RESOURCES

ECO-FRIENDLY
PACKAGING

ETHICAL RAW
INGREDIENT PRODUCTION

SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING

We are transitioning to the circular economy, where the most efficient use is made of all resources. Developing smart sustainable packaging solutions helps to reduce food waste, which is one of our top priorities.

RESPONSIBILITY THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE CHAIN

There is also an important social dimension to sustainability, which obliges us to take responsibility for people’s well-being at every stage in the chain. For us, healthy habits in general and green eating habits in particular are key aspects of all-round sustainability.

SCIENCE-BASED CLIMATE TARGETS

Our environmental work commits us to reducing our overall carbon footprint, making more efficient use of energy and transitioning from fossil-based energy to renewables, for example by optimising transport solutions and increasing our use of fossil-free fuels. Our climate targets are scientifically determined and approved according to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

QUALITY AND FOOD SAFETY

We work with contracted suppliers and set high standards for both their and our own quality assurance work – every step of the way from field to final packaging. To safeguard compliance with our stringent product quality and food safety criteria, we are constantly engaged in making sure we derive full benefit from the commitment, knowledge and expertise of all our co-workers.
